This fall, Gigi Hadid is truly dedicated to the trend of personalized jackets. But with the temperature dropping, she punctuated the zip-ups and signed bombers proved to be unable to work with New York’s winter. Hadid did not miss a beats when any of the styles were off-shift, though. After all, a strong coat game is one of her five signature gears to move – this is what she really cleverly catches Calderon before this time of year.
This season we may still be relatively early, but Hadid seems to have found a particular coat style she really feels cold environment. Over the past few weeks, the model has broken through her favorite athleisure looks with a series of bold, printed longline fishing jackets. She chose a range of styles from an upholstery-esque Paisley style, a black-and-white striped short overcoat (Victoria Beckham-grade turtleneck). However, their common denominator is their coat, definitely not afraid to stand out most of the black, camel coat.
Hadid’s secret to always making her gymwear look dressy? “A cool jacket,” she told us earlier this year. We’d say this faux-fur Elizabeth & James coat definitely fits the bill.
The model didn’t just take a page out of Victoria Beckham’s winter playbook with the extra-high turtleneck — she literally coped her style by wearing a coat from the designer’s fall ’16 collection.
A black Mansur Gavriel backpack, black Freda Salvador booties, black patent pants, a black string choker — to break up the monotony, Hadid tops off her outfit with a bit of contrast, thanks to this brown and blue-printed white coat, accessorized with mirrored shades.
