How Does a Victoria’s Secret Angel Prep For The Biggest (And Skimpiest) Fashion Show on Earth?

Obvious observation: Victoria’s Secret models are really, really, ridiculously good looking. To get the scoop on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show models’ pre-runway routine, we asked drop-dead gorgeous Angel Adriana Lima what goes into her sweat sessions leading up to the big night. 

1. A Bunch of Boxing
“It is a full mind and body workout,” says Adriana of her favorite exercise activity. She adds that she likes to picture herself going glove to glove with world-champion boxer Manny Pacquiao.

2. Burpees
…Even though Adriana can’t stand them. 3. Angry Rock Music
“I actually have been listening to Prodigy’s album ‘The Fat of the Land’ to get me pumped during a workout,” says Adriana. She says that slow music over the gym speakers is her biggest pet peeve when she gets her sweat on.

4. Two-a-Days 5. Encouragement from a Gym Buddy
Adriana says she loves getting her fitness on alongside her cousin. “I think working out with a buddy helps you stay motivated, but it is also a good support system when you feel like you can’t do one more rep.”

6. Upper-Body Exercises
Those ginormous Angels wings you spot on the runway? “They’re not extraordinarily heavy,” says Adriana, “but I definitely do shoulder presses for sexy arms.”

7. Espresso
That’s how Adriana says she stays motivated to hit the gym even when she doesn’t feel like dragging her super-toned butt there.

8. Very, Very Little Downtime
“My final workout is always the night before the show,” says Adriana. And instead of taking time off from the gym after the big show, Adriana says she likes to keep working hard.
