It’s time to update your workout and there’s no better way to do that than alternating between strength training and cardio. By amping up your strength training regime, you burn more calories and build lean muscle. For beginners, ankle weights are an inexpensive option (ranging from $20 to $50) if you’re looking to expand your home gym, but they can often be found at the local gym, too. WD started a new workout series on October 4 that features a different video every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at noon demonstrating how to do an ankle weight exercise move. Follow along with Friday’s workout here and then have a look at today’s as this expert shows us how to do the bent arm side bridge and hip abduction with ankle weight routine, targeting the abs and obliques.
